Wine Country Trattoria is one of my favorite restaurants to eat at when I visit California Adventure. As far as pricing goes, it is one of the more reasonable options. It also has some of the BEST Italian dishes at Disney (as we know, I’m not a huge fan of Tony’s in Magic Kingdom, so when I find good Italian, I’m very excited!) No matter what time of year we go, I always try and snag a reservation to this restaurant. So far, I haven’t been disappointed! I also ALWAYS book the Dining Package here for whatever show is currently playing!
Here are all the reasons I LOVE Wine Country Trattoria, and why I highly recommend checking it out on your next Disneyland trip!
Location
Wine Country Trattoria is located across from Pixar Pier in California Adventure, in Pacific Wharf. The restaurant also sits surrounded by 3 lounges, so if you want to sample some of the wine available without a reservation, you can do so at one of the three tasting terraces around the restaurant. They also have small platters of appetizers available to snack on with your wine.
As for the restaurant itself, there are both indoor and outdoor tables available. If you go during the value season when it’s a bit colder, don’t worry! The outdoor seating area is heated by lamps that will give off heat if it’s rainy and cold. That happened on Valentine’s Day for us this past year and we were still very comfortable!
Food and Pricing
The food is traditional Italian faire. In addition to having a spectacular wine list (it’s in the name, of course they have good wine!) there are numerous appetizers, desserts and entrees to choose from. Like most Disney restaurants, they have fun drinks for kids with clip on light accessories as well.
Last time we were there, Chris got the Osso Buco and could NOT stop raving about it! I’m personally a huge fan of the shrimp alfredo. The shrimp has a little bit of spice that adds an extra something to the dish!
The most expensive dish on the menu is the rib-eye steak at $36. Everything else, entree wise, ranges between $18-$27. The portions are also just right – not too much, and not too little. Who wants leftovers to carry back to the resort? Not me!
As for dessert, there are only two options and both are FANTASTIC. Tiramisu – a classic at Italian restaurants – and Panna Cotta. Both options are absolutely divine and the perfect ending to the evening! If I had to pick one I’d go with the Panna Cotta because I love the texture and the taste.
World of Color Package
If there is ever a nighttime show, like World of Color, Wine Country Trattoria is one of the restaurants included in the Dining Packages for that show. It’s very simple – you book a reservation for the Dining Package, and after your meal you get Fastpasses to preferred seating at that show. The menu is a “set” menu but includes about 90% of the items on the menu for entrees (the appetizer selection is really the only thing that has been whittled down for the package). It is also one set price, making it a bit easier for your budgeting plans!

So all in all, I highly recommend this restaurant. It’s one of my absolute favorites at Disneyland and I can’t get enough of it! The view is spectacular, the food is delicious, and if you’re a fan of good wine, you’re sure to find a good one on the menu.
