Best Places to Grab Breakfast at Walt Disney World

September 22, 2019      Leave a Comment

What’s my favorite meal of the day? Breakfast of course! Breakfast is especially important at Walt Disney World. It fuels your whole day, and assures you have energy to conquer your day at the parks! Some days I like just a cup of Starbucks coffee and maybe a bagel or muffin, but most days I prefer a full sit down meal. With so many options, it’s hard to figure out the BEST places for breakfast. So, where should you go?!

Here are my top 4 picks for breakfast at Walt Disney World. Check out these dining options on your next Disney trip to start your day the Mickey way!

The Crystal Palace

Why is this one of my favorite places to grab breakfast at Walt Disney World? It combines two of my favorite things – breakfast and character dining! The Crystal Palace happens to feature dining with Winnie the Pooh and his friends from the Hundred Acre Wood. This breakfast buffet has all the breakfast classics. Scrambled eggs, Mickey waffles, bacon and sausage, and of course an omelette station! As you dine, Pooh and his friends come up to your table and greet you. They’re some of the cuddliest characters to meet, and give great hugs! This is one of my favorite character dining places because who doesn’t love Winnie the Pooh? Plus, it’s right there in the Magic Kingdom, so you can hop straight to the parks once you’re done!

Resort Quick Service Restaurants

You might be wondering why I’m including quick service restaurants on here. Well, if you’re on the Disney Dining plan and looking for a place to spend your quick service credits, these food courts are an excellent option. They’re usually not that crowded, you can take your food back to your room – and if you’re paying out of pocket, they’re a cheap alternative to casual dining at the parks.

You’ll find a lot of the same foods at these food courts that you’ll find in the breakfast buffet restaurants. You’ll also find lighter options such as yogurt, bagels, and fruit. These are a great place to fill your stomach and fuel your energy for the parks without having to hassle with a reservation! Plus you have that ride to the parks on the Disney Transportation buses to let your food settle before hitting the roller coasters!

1900 Park Fare

Everyone loves dining with Mickey and friends, but people called for more unique character interactions. People love meeting princesses and rare face characters – but don’t necessarily like waiting in line. Thankfully Disney heard and delivered with these next two options!

At Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa you’ll find 1900 Park Fare, which is a Disney character dining experience featuring princesses and other face characters like Alice and the Mad Hatter. It’s a buffet style breakfast meal similar to Crystal Palace, but with more variety in characters! It’s a great place to meet some princesses without having to wait in line or shell out extra dining credits for Cinderella’s Table!

Trattoria al Forno

Finally, the Bon Voyage Adventure breakfast at Trattoria al Forno is another great breakfast option. This princess dining experience – usually featuring Rapunzel, Flynn Rider, Ariel and Prince Eric – isn’t a breakfast buffet option, but a sit down casual dining meal. The menu features delicious breakfast food like frittatas, pancakes, and breakfast calzones! It’s a step up from your traditional breakfast food, but still just as comforting.

This restaurant is located at the Boardwalk Resort, and is just a boat ride or short walk away from Epcot so you can easily incorporate it into your daily plans!

These are my top 4 places to eat breakfast at Walt Disney World. Just thinking of all these places is making me crave some Mickey waffles! What’s YOUR favorite place to eat at Disney?
