Marvel/Disney Codenames
“Codenames” is a super fun game that requires you to partner up and describe certain things to get them to guess it correctly. The catch? You can only use ONE word, and if they guess wrong, the other team might get points! It’s a simplistic game with lots of replay value, and depending on who you’re playing with, it can be quite hilarious! It’s also quick – you can finish quite a few games in just an hour.
This game has become so popular it has not one, but TWO Disney versions! One is the Marvel version, which will feature all your favorite heroes, villains, and mystical items like the Infinity Stones. The Disney one features all your favorite characters and movies from classic Disney cinema!
Both versions are available on Amazon and make the perfect gift for those of you who LOVE games like “Monikers” or charades.
Civil War Risk
“Risk” is a classic game about conquering lands with military strategy. Take it up a notch with the Captain America: Civil War version of the game! Select your side – Team Cap or Team Iron Man – and battle it out with friends in this themed take on a classic! Unlike the original, this one takes place during the climactic fight scene from the movie. Play out the battle at the airport and find out which team is better once and for all!
Snow White Gem Mining Game
At first glance this game may seem like a game for kids. On the contrary, it’s a card deck building game that allows you to build an inventory of gems for points. In “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs: A Gemstone Mining Game” you get to do just that! If you have the most points at the end, you win! This game can be played with younger kids, but if you’re a fan of games that require you to have some luck and think a few turns ahead, you’ll enjoy it as well. Plus, who can resist the cute seven dwarfs?!
Thanos Rising Strategy Game
Are you like me and you’re still not over “The Snap” at the end of Avengers: Infinity War? Here’s your chance to exact your revenge on Thanos! The “Thanos Rising” Dice and Card game involves strategy and the luck of the roll as you build your dream team to try and stop Thanos. Just like the movie, the odds are stacked against you! There’s only ONE outcome where you win, and in every other outcome you lose! You’ll have tons of fun trying to figure out how to stop the Mad Titan before he wipes away half of humanity. If you don’t win, just reset the game and try again! If you’re a fan of games like Mansions of Madness or Betrayal at House on the Hill, this is the perfect strategy game for you.
Star Wars Rebellion Board Game
This is the biggest undertaking players will take on this list – the “Star Wars Rebellion Board Game” can last up to 3-4 hours! If you are your friends are looking for the perfect edition to your gaming marathon, this is it. Play as either the Rebellion or the Empire and build your fleet, compete in battles, and use heroes and villains to defeat the other players. This game takes more than strategy, it takes luck – and is a ton of fun!
There are so many facets to this game, it will require you to be on top of your every move. Play it again and again with new characters and new locations! If you’re already a seasoned Galactic Hero, check out the Rogue One Expansion!
